The speaker was Dr. Ruchathi Mwaniki an alumni of the department. Dr. Mwaniki is a research and publications manager at the National Environment Trust Fund – Green Innovation Award (NETFUND – GIA). The department of Environmental and Biosystems Engineering alongside its Students Association team organised an Academic trip to Mt. Longonot, Naivasha on 8th February,2014.
The purpose of the trip was to expose the students to the practical aspects in:Earth Science, Geotechnical Engineering, Soil & Water Conservation, Hydrology and Water Resources
