Engineering Design is the process in which scientific principles and the tools of engineering are used to produce a plan which can be fabricated, installed, commissioned and operated to satisfy a need. Where; Mechanical Engineering Design is the above process as applied to components and systems of a mechanical nature

The Department of Environmental and Biosystems Engineering 3rd, 4th and 5th year students are currently sitting for their second semester 14/15 final examination. The Examination started on 18th May and will end on 29th May 2015.

The Departments of Environmental and Biosystems Engineering, MSc. Students presented their progress report to the panel of Department lecturers and post graduate students  on 27th –  28th May, 2015. The Chairman EBE,  Dean F o A,   and Ministry of Agriculture livestocks and Fisheries met with  BrazAgro Ltd Commercial Director, (Mr. Maina Kariuki) and Senior Technical Sales (Mr. Antony Mwangi) on 27th May, 2015. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss possibiliities of collaborations in students interships and attachments.

BrazAgro Ltd has a regional network of BrazAfric Enterprises in East and Central Africa. They manufacture and supply all sort of machineries, equipment, accessories and implements for soil preparation, planting and harvesting.
